I had a really BAD day followed by a really GOOD day recently. Sunday night was the "big breakthrough" night. I have a tendency to throw tantrums which drives Mommy crazy. Last Sunday night I was very tired but I don't like to go to bed in my room (I'd much rather sleep with Mommy and Daddy in their big ol' bed). Mommy made me sleep in my bed and I cried for a long, long time. At first I thought Mommy and Daddy were so mean for letting me cry with the door closed. I gave 'em a good fight though and didn't let up crying for 2½ hours straight. But I got tired and Mommy finally raised her voice and told me she had enough of my tantrums. Well, after I found out she really meant what she said, I gave up the fight, quieted down and went to bed like a good boy. Today I made up for it by being my usual active and crazy self! I was bouncing all over the place. I went outside, jumped in the six-inch layer of soft fallen leaves and played in the playground. Back at h...

"With Jeremiah, who needs television?" A friend visiting my parents said those words, as she was apparently engrossed in watching me doing what I usually do in the evening. It was a Wednesday night, and I was playing around with crayons, my make-shift desk, and chair.. add a little "sofa diving" (that's where I climb to the top edge of the sofa, and jump off to the giant soft pillow cushion) for variety, nothing out of the ordinary, for me anyways. As the regulars to my web site can see, there hasn't been an journal entry for more than 2 months. I'm beginning to understand my parents' words to me, but I can't reply very well. I do what I can, believe you me. My parents say that I'm in my toddler years now. I'm told that I got an early start. I'm told that I love running around and give a running commentary along with all the action. I love climbing. I love food. I love crayons and markers. I love to pour things out onto the floor. I l...

I had a very happy day! God's mercies are new every morning. After being sick last weekend I have bounced back to my happy self as if nothing happened at all! I am such a happy boy. I slept well, jumped out of bed and threw a basketball into my hoop. I played all morning, read books, and watched my favorite video, Winnie the Pooh. For lunch, I ate curly pasta and spaghetti sauce all by myself and I didn't drop any of it on the floor! I just kept getting happier and happier throughout the day. I even did 3 new things that made mommy laugh: I wore her slippers on my feet and shuffled along; I made a funny fish face by sucking in my cheeks, and for the first time I yelled "Go daddy" (it actually was more like "ga da da") when he was playing softball. I also have amazing physical balance as I pretended to be a gymnast walking on a balance beam when I walked all by myself across the bleachers. I also like softball because I pick up the bats and hit balls with the...

Boo hoo, I was very, very sick last weekend with a high fever, blisters in my mouth and my second ear infection. I was cranky and crying for three days in a row! Mommy had to comfort me and sleep with me all the time. I wasn't a very good medicine-take either so mommy AND daddy had to pin me down 4-5 times a day to give me my medicine through a syringe in my mouth. My mouth hurt so much it was clamped shut. All I could eat was Popsicle's and ice cream. Well great-grandpa and great-grandma, grandpa and grandma prayed for me from Hong Kong and God was merciful. I started to get better Sunday night and finally ate a meal to the relief of mommy (I ate Korean dumplings and rice cakes after 48 hours of not eating anything). P.S. I now am 25 pounds and 9 ounces. I am 32 " tall, a big boy at 17 months

I've been 16-months old since July 25th. I like verbalizing now, pointing to things and saying "ma... ma..." or "be... be... be...". For example, "bah.." means balloon. I can't connect all the syllables like Mommy or Daddy, but I'm sure trying! My first word that people seem to respond to is "baby"! I love being with people, especially ones that are about my size. I especially like to greet babies. I just spent a few days at Grandpa and Grandma's in Winchester. It was a lot of fun because they give me a lot of things to eat, and this time we went shopping and I picked out my own new size-7 Pooh shoes. The old Giant Photo Album isn't working as fast as Daddy would like. Even though that server had unlimited space, it also takes unlimited patience for the pictures to transfer. The freeservers Giant Photo Album was most responsive, but one that's turned out to be better is: Jeremiah's Giant Photo Album . Finally.

I've just returned from a 3-week vacation, and I'm suffering a little jet lag. I'm putting in 16-hours of sleep yesterday and today to try to make the adjustment. The first week I was in California, and the 2nd and 3rd week was in Hong Kong ! It was so much fun to travel and visit new places! I'll spare you of the details, but I was detained for hours by immigration officials due to parental neglect to obtain a passport, and we really had to pull together as a family. With much prayer and intercession, the people from both countries were merciful and gracious to us, and with help from friends on the homefront, a passport was issued with this instant passport photograph. My time in Hong Kong was very enjoyable, I loved all the sights and sounds!!! We stayed at a very nice hotel, and I got to meet my great-grandfather and great-grandmother; they prayed for me and passed along the family blessing. I especially liked riding up and down the escalators at the mall adjacent...

I'm now 14 months old, and I'm getting to know what I like, and what I don't like! Some people call it 'temper tantrums', but for me, it's just my self-expression of my desire for a comfortable bed, some soft music, and those new and interesting things that I want to play with. I don't mean any harm, really. Oh, I also love to climb over things too. Daddy and Mommy have been traveling to different places, so they haven't had the time to enter more journal entries more often. Thanks for stopping in tho', Daddy did snap some more pictures of me with a cool digital camera that our church invested in.
