Boo hoo! I came down with a 101.8 degree temperature last Friday. Mommy was sick with the flu earlier in the week and desperately tried not to give it to me. I am a tough boy so I've never gotten sick before. But I finally got my first real illness so Mommy prayed that the Lord would heal me. After going to a nice Kaiser pediatrics doctor and taking my medicine I am okay! I am my happy, energetic, curious self once again! In fact, I have several "firsts' to tell you about! I have grown out of my infant chair so Daddy bought me a beautiful car seat with Toys R' Us gift certificates from Rachelle's high school friends. Thanks Mack and Janet! This week I have had many first foods: mushy bananas, bread, a small lettuce leaf, part of an orange and even tofu! I have done okay on everything. In fact, Mommy and Daddy haven't found anything I don't like! I also started to lift myself up on furniture. I can hold myself up vertically on my knees by grabbing onto somet
Today I had my first banana, not that puree'd processed stuff, the real thing... umm ummm ummmm.. it's nice and chewy, and gives my two teeth a good work out.. two days ago I had my first orange, a nice young lady fed me some juicy morsels.. umm ummm ummmm.. With all this rain and weather changing here, I've not felt too well these days.. I've had some symptoms like runny nose and nasal congestion.. I sure hope I don't come down with a fever or cold or something.... sneezing helps to clear things up, *ah-choo!*
I was watching this TV special about Michael Jordan tonight, and I'm learning to stick out my tongue too. (Don't you want to be like Mike too?) Don't get me wrong, I still like to grab and chew on things. Tonight Daddy stayed home with me, and I devoured my first Gerber stage 2 meal, Vegetable Chicken dinner... yumm ummmaaaaammmm mmmm. I had some barley cereal for appetizer, and topped it off with some town house crackers for dessert. Am I learning to dine or what? A nice warm bath rounded out my evening, after a hectic weekend of mingling with many new people at my new church, where I saw a young friend of mine get baby dedicated yesterday.
