Happy Birthday Jeremiah! Today he turned 5! We went together as a family to Toys 'R Us, and I want to have a game that we can play together as a family. Daddy found a sale for buy-1-get-1-free, so we got Hungry Hungry Hippo and Sorry.. we played the Hippo game several times tonight, and it was so much fun! For my birthday, we had a party at my preschool with my Tiger friends, and on Saturday we had a picnic at my playground (at Lynnbrook Center). After the picnic, I went with Grif to the Mall, and we saw lots of kites at the Smithsonian Kite Festival. You can see the pictures online , and celebrate with me. (there are some pictures from my California trip a month or so ago, when I went with Sean to play putt-putt)
Jeremiah said: I don't want to.. when Daddy asked him to write a journal entry here. Of course a lot of things have happened in the past month, including: trip to California with Mommy, I went to play putt-putt golf, and I got a hole-in-one, and I had a lot of fun there; and bumped my head on the playground, and had to go to the ER at Suburban Hospital to get checked out, and they put on this purple skin glue instead of stitches, and it's going to heal up just in time for this weekend, which is my birthday. I'm going to have a picnic on Saturday in the park to celebrate. It'll be a lot of fun!
Happy Valentine's Day! Yesterday I was a bit louder and unsettled at Pre-school, I don't know why, it's hard to sit still all day. I'm enjoying these days recently, especially getting to see our fireplace get lit for the first time this Winter. I spread out my arms, smile real big, and stand in front of the warm fire. Ahhh.. in a few days, I'll be going to California, to see Gonggy and Poppy, it will be warm there, and I'll be there for 10 days.. I am looking forward to going to the beach, and having a lot of fun. I go swimming every Thursday night with Mommy and Daddy, and 3 weeks ago I started swimming on my back, and I can swim on my tummy too now [editor's note: all with a little help of a bright blue and yellow life vest].. Wheeeeee... today we probably will not go, because Mommy is working late at the flower shop, so all of us can't go together.. I still love to play Monopoly Junior, I try to get a game in once a day with Mommy. Sometimes Daddy ...
Happy New Year everyone! For New Year's, we went to a family friend's place for Chinese hot pot ("hwo-gwo"), something we do once-in-a-long-while.. I like the baby corn and fish balls, with brown sauce (other people call it soy sauce), and I watched Dumbo on their DVD... today I played Monopoly online at games.com and I won, it was fun! Two days ago I got a nice short haircut, Daddy'll get a picture online so you can see it soon.. on New Year's Eve, we stayed up 'til midnight, and watched the festivities at Time Square (where we were a coupla weeks ago), and then I got tired and slept on the carpeted floor..
We celebrated Christmas with g'rents in Winchester, a small town slow paced holiday.. I got lots of neat toys for Christmas, including Lincoln Logs, Abstack , big box of Bible games, a red knit hat, Leopard stuffed-animal, and my favorite-- Monopoly Junior : Dig n' Dinos ! I've played it 5 times already with Mommy and Daddy, and I've won every single time! I like winning! (I know how to setup the board, deal out the money, and roll the die.) This is no mere beginner's luck! It's so much fun! It was a little sad tonight though, b/c my winning streak was broken by Daddy.
I've returned from 2 road trips since the last entry: an early Christmas weekend in New York City ( see photos ), and a simple Christmas at (Yeh-yeh & Nai-Nai's) grandparents in Winchester. I can't believe so many of my photo albums are now offline and gone with the dot-bombs; Daddy found these news articles about PhotoPoint at Yahoo , AuctionGuild , and CNet about how PhotoPoint just upped itself and vanished into cyber-ether one day recently. Daddy's working on finding alternative solutions. Zing was another biggie that went dark a few months ago. Stay tuned.
Just returned from a big road trip with Mommy and Daddy, it was a LOT of fun. We went to Winchester to visit with Yeh-yeh and Nai-nai (grandparents), then we went to Raleigh, and we visited my Godparents, and their boys Joshua and Caleb at their war-time mentality house. And I got to feed the horse named T.J. an apple in my hand, and I saw two cats by the barn named Smokey and Spitter. Smokey was the white cat, and Spitter was the black and white cat. We went out on the last night to play miniature golf, and that was so much fun I loved it! And then we went on a big airplane to California, visiting Gonggy and Poppy (grandparents), and I had lots of fun on the playground, and handing out plates for the buffet line at the Christmas party at their home. When they were singing Christmas songs, I sang loudest on the "Go tell it on the mountains" song. We went to Knott's Berry Farm for dinner one night, and I went to the craft shop and made a necklack with beads and a smilin...
