I just returned from a 2-week vacation visit with my "gung-gung" and "po-po" (my Grandpa and Grandma, on Mommy's side). It was a fun time in Southern California. I loved the beach the most: the waves coming over my feet made me giggle every time. One place we went to was the San Diego Zoo! We saw the flamingos, the polar bears, the baby panda, and many other animals too! We also visited with my ol' friend Brian, who is one of my story readers.

On my 3rd birthday, we celebrated with a trip to the Baltimore Aquarium! I love seeing the sting-rays and the dolphins! It was a great day, as my friend Shannon and her parents came to join us too. Just the week before my birthday, I learned my alphabet- I can sing the whole ABC song! And for my birthday, I got two e-greeting cards, along with several animal toys.

I am really enjoying life and people now! I love animals (and I no longer pronounce it as "ani-my-nos"), and I like Toy Story, and I like VeggieTales, and I like snow, and I love Mommy, and I love Daddy, and I love people reading Bible stories to me. I go around saying "what's that" to learn what things are called, as a part of my "vocabulary explosion". When I'm feeling silly, I can make faces. And I've picked up some bad habits too, like saying "what?!", "uh huh", and "hey..." I'm learning to count now: 1, 2, 3, 7. That's all I know right now, but I'm gettin' to be a real conversationalist.

"Happy New Year!" I practiced saying that all day on New Year's Eve, and said it to everyone I met that day. It was a nice holiday week as we spent a lot of time together as a family, hangin' out, enjoying company, and eating good food. Our _new house_ is starting to take shape, and we'll have our new kitchen counter installed this week (finally). Daddy has been taking lots of pictures with his digital camera, and they're getting uploaded on all kinds of photo albums on the web. Check the directory above for the latest pictures. The pictures will now do more talking than this journal. :) And I am a boy. Not a baby. I don't wear diapers any more. I am going to the bathroom by myself. I can pull up my training pants. And I can sleep by myself.

I am almost three, getting closer every day. I've kept my Mommy and Daddy very busy because I love to do a lot of things. I'm starting to put words together into full-fledge sentences, what my Dad calls a 'running commentary' on life around the new house. We moved into a house at the beginning of November, in Bethesda, Maryland. It's not a brand new house, it was actually built in the '40s, and Mommy and Daddy have been hiring contractors to get the renovations done, and I've been doing my part to help. There's much more going on, but I don't have time to write, because I want to watch the QuickTime videos on this computer, of Lion King and Larry Boy. Oh, and Daddy got a digital camera so you'll be seeing more pictures in my photo album soon. Merry Christmas!

These past two weeks I have been getting scraped up from being too bouncy. Mommy worries cuz' I'm just "being a boy." Last week I got a big boo-boo on my cheek and this week I fell down on my left eye (from jumping off a diaper-changing table). I've got a big purple bruise and cut, I look like I've been boxing! Mommy keeps asking me if it hurts but I tell her "NO" and keep on playing. These days I love to talk. I talk about my favorite things, anumuls (animals) and I'm really into cheetas. Every night at the dinner table I give Daddy a summary of what me and Mommy did all day. I have a great memory! I also am becoming a computer nut like Daddy. I love to sit on his lap in the morning and check out videos such as Lion King clips and Bug's Life clips. I can even press the space bar myself to keep viewing the clips. On Wednesdays I am going with Mommy to BSF, Bible Study Fellowship. Last week I talked about "Jesus" and the "Bible...
