Happy New Year every body! I am starting to walk, and you can be sure I'll be running very soon. I took my Daddy and Mommy to downtown Washington yesterday, and the weather has been very unwinterlike, so it was like 60 degrees outdoors.. Daddy and my Godparents were tired from strolling the Mall in front of the Air & Space Museum, and I was getting tired of sitting around in the stroller, so I yelped to walk around a little.. and Daddy found some soft shoes for my feet, and so I stood up, saw some little birds that Daddy called pigeons, and I walked towards them, while holding on to Daddy's hands.. I led the way, and Daddy followed along really well. I walked around for about 5 minutes, and wanted to take a seat on the grass, but Daddy didn't want me getting dirty, so I got lifted up and buckled back into the baby stroller. Last Sunday, I was dedicated to my God the Creator, with Mommy and Daddy and all the grandparents by their sides.. Daddy read a charge to me from Jeremiah 32:38-41 praying that I would be committed to the Lord wholly.
From Home to Georgetown
My bike trip from home to Georgetown was tons of fun! I rode to the Capital Crescent Trail. The road was mostly flat, but a little bit crowded. After riding for some time, we came to a dark tunnel. The area around the road was very lush. Then we rode by a river or stream. The sight was elegant. We came to a canal and stopped by a bazaar. We came to some bumpy, wooden bridges. Georgetown was not far away. Arriving at Georgetown was very gratifying. I was very satisfied with myself. (* the above was a Personal Narrative Test I did for school, to write on a topic of a proud experience.)
