September 26
I had my 6 month check up at the pediatrician’s. I am in excellent health! Mommy and Daddy take no credit but give all glory to God. I am 28 inches long, the 90th percentile! I am also 18 pounds, 3 ounces in the 75th percentile. I am a BIG boy and I wear 12 month old clothing now. I also am getting my first TEETH. Two of them are popping out on the bottom. I also got more shots today, but I hardly cried. The doctor also said I was very good. I am having a hard time falling asleep during my naps and at night. I guess my body is tired but my insides don’t want to go to bed….there is so much to look at and play with and observe. Mommy is letting me cry myself to sleep because teaching me lifelong sleep habits is more important than my 30-45 minute crying spells. One thing is for sure, I have powerful lungs, hee, hee!!!!

I am 6 month old today, Praise the Lord! God is my Jehovah Jireh and provides for all my needs. Mommy was wondering how in the world she would feed and clothe me since I have already outgrown all my clothes. But God provided some baby gift certificates and funds to use at a second-hand clothing store here in Raleigh. Since the weather has changed from sticky summer to a beautiful brisk and cool fall, I definitely needed some warmer clothes. Praise God, Mommy got me some warm shirts, pants, sweaters and socks for little cost. God really does provide for all my needs. Matthew 6:33 is true!

Mommy and I returned to Raleigh after a long all day flight from coast to coast. I really don't mind flying; I had a fun time meeting all kinds of people, and one nice Chinese lady helped Mommy carry my baby stroller across the concourse in Chicago O'Hare when we had to transfer planes. I was so happy to see Daddy!! We hugged for a long time.

Mommy saw me lift up my rear end on my legs today...maybe soon I'll be crawling. My legs and arms sure are ready to go!

September 11
Mommy and Grandma took me swimming! Mommy put me on her shoulders and grandma held me up as we walked around a big swimming pool. It was fun. I was kind of in shock because it was a new experience but I am liking water very much. You should see me splash during bathtime!

I got my first haircut today! It has been so hot here in Southern California due to the El Nino weather, so I've been sweaty all week. My hair has grown quite long in the back, so it makes me hot. It took 3 people to cut my hair! Grandpa held my head, Mommy held me up and Grandma did the actual snip-snip. Mommy saved my hair in an envelope for my babybook. I look really cool now! You should see me in my new haircut and purple sunglasses! I'm stylin'!!!!

I am a loud, happy boy. Mommy puts me in my playpen and I am content to play by myself and talk to my toes or toys. Meanwhile the whole household is glued to the TV set watching the Princess Diana stuff. Mommy thinks Di was a good mother. She hopes to give me exposure and experiences like Princess Di did for her boys William and Harry. Mommy and and Auntie Celest are also watching a lot of Star Trek. I am very gracious to them and don't bother them that much except now and then I let out a huge screech because I'm practicing my vocabulary. Today I am saying a lot of "yaaaaooooowwww"s very loudly which makes everybody jump out of their seats!

September 4
BIG DAY! I talk all day long and laugh hilariously. Here is my basic vocabulary:
Vowels: “aaauuuuu” and “oooouuuuu” in high pitched screeches!
Consonants: “buo, buo, buo” “yaaaaoooooooo!!!!”
*coming soon on my webpage: more soundbytes
I also had my first really big meal. I’ve been eating cereal and veggies but for dinner I had beef stew, peas and apple sauce. I wolfed it down. I am a good eater!

September 1-2
I was so exhausted from all the excitement I sleep a lot for two whole days. But I am a happy, happy boy. Whenever I wake up I am smiling.
