I'm learning to use the digital camera; nobody is teaching me, but I do like asking Daddy for it, and looking at the picture in the LCD panel on the back, and taking pictures. I've actually taken several pictures with it now, knowing where the shutter release is, but I do have some trouble getting my fingers out of the way, and aiming.. but believe you me, I'll get better!

I just returned from a 2-week vacation visit with my "gung-gung" and "po-po" (my Grandpa and Grandma, on Mommy's side). It was a fun time in Southern California. I loved the beach the most: the waves coming over my feet made me giggle every time. One place we went to was the San Diego Zoo! We saw the flamingos, the polar bears, the baby panda, and many other animals too! We also visited with my ol' friend Brian, who is one of my story readers.

On my 3rd birthday, we celebrated with a trip to the Baltimore Aquarium! I love seeing the sting-rays and the dolphins! It was a great day, as my friend Shannon and her parents came to join us too. Just the week before my birthday, I learned my alphabet- I can sing the whole ABC song! And for my birthday, I got two e-greeting cards, along with several animal toys.

I am really enjoying life and people now! I love animals (and I no longer pronounce it as "ani-my-nos"), and I like Toy Story, and I like VeggieTales, and I like snow, and I love Mommy, and I love Daddy, and I love people reading Bible stories to me. I go around saying "what's that" to learn what things are called, as a part of my "vocabulary explosion". When I'm feeling silly, I can make faces. And I've picked up some bad habits too, like saying "what?!", "uh huh", and "hey..." I'm learning to count now: 1, 2, 3, 7. That's all I know right now, but I'm gettin' to be a real conversationalist.

"Happy New Year!" I practiced saying that all day on New Year's Eve, and said it to everyone I met that day. It was a nice holiday week as we spent a lot of time together as a family, hangin' out, enjoying company, and eating good food. Our _new house_ is starting to take shape, and we'll have our new kitchen counter installed this week (finally). Daddy has been taking lots of pictures with his digital camera, and they're getting uploaded on all kinds of photo albums on the web. Check the directory above for the latest pictures. The pictures will now do more talking than this journal. :) And I am a boy. Not a baby. I don't wear diapers any more. I am going to the bathroom by myself. I can pull up my training pants. And I can sleep by myself.

I am almost three, getting closer every day. I've kept my Mommy and Daddy very busy because I love to do a lot of things. I'm starting to put words together into full-fledge sentences, what my Dad calls a 'running commentary' on life around the new house. We moved into a house at the beginning of November, in Bethesda, Maryland. It's not a brand new house, it was actually built in the '40s, and Mommy and Daddy have been hiring contractors to get the renovations done, and I've been doing my part to help. There's much more going on, but I don't have time to write, because I want to watch the QuickTime videos on this computer, of Lion King and Larry Boy. Oh, and Daddy got a digital camera so you'll be seeing more pictures in my photo album soon. Merry Christmas!
