From Home to Georgetown

My bike trip from home to Georgetown was tons of fun! I rode to the Capital Crescent Trail. The road was mostly flat, but a little bit crowded. After riding for some time, we came to a dark tunnel. The area around the road was very lush. Then we rode by a river or stream. The sight was elegant. We came to a canal and stopped by a bazaar. We came to some bumpy, wooden bridges. Georgetown was not far away. Arriving at Georgetown was very gratifying. I was very satisfied with myself. (* the above was a Personal Narrative Test I did for school, to write on a topic of a proud experience.)
Now I'm in California. With my grandpa and grandma. The weather is good here, and I'm going to the Ocean Institute . It's my last few weeks before school starts. I'm going to be in 3rd grade. My Daddy finally finished uploading hundreds of photos taken by me several weeks ago. I got to use a digital camera in Albuquerque this summer and took lots of pictures. Do you think I have what it takes to be a professional photographer?
I just finished a couple of weeks at Camp Sonshine, with my friend Edwin. It was okay. I don't like mosquitos. My friend Griff is over at my home to play today. He brought his Game Cube. We love to play Super Smash Bros game. I like playing games at neopets.com .
Tonight Jeremiah has his friends Griff and Edwin sleeping over, they're playing and having a great time. We also got a new software for his computer, Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing. He started his first typing lesson! He's already up to 7 WPM. Lots has happened in his life, and the parents have been too busy to be blogging for him. Maybe one of the things he will do after he learned touch typing is blogging! BTW, we've found a great photo album with lots of space and easy upload -- so many of the old photo links may no longer work; and most of the photos Daddy has migrated to http://public.fotki.com/djchuang/jeremiah/ - nicely arranged in folders by year.
Jeremiah is now 7 years old, plays recreational soccer with MSI, and earned his Tiger Cub (scout) badge this week.. he got a GBA SP (Gameboy Advance) for his birthday, and now he uses both the internet and his little gaming device..
I like using Daddy's new PDA + digital camera combo (a Palm Zire 71) -- I took a bunch of photos, now online at Jeremiah Behind the Camera :: Memorial Day weekend
60 photos from my birthday weekend (click on the "Personal Albums" button to view).. we celebrated my birthday this past weekend with my friends from school, and had 2 boys sleepover on Friday night, and 1 on Saturday night.. it was so much fun at Kid's Zone.. i liked the pizza, the birthday cake not so much.. and then we did Sunday lunch with Daddy's family, and I got a really nice set of Lego Alpha Team!
"After over 5 years of telling the story of Jeremiah's life, his whole life being blogged for the world to participate, and for ardent fans around the world who regularly check-in, the entries are sporadic, and now that he approaches his 6th birthday, it turns out that he is not the storyteller that you and I had hoped. Though his life is a wonderful story, one way to encapsulate him is to describe him as a sensitive soul with a silly streak. Perhaps genetically from his Mommy and Daddy, he doesn't have a competitive bone in his body. He loves Pokemon, cartoons, and the weekly family board game night on Sundays. His appetite comes and goes. He's a healthy boy."

This weekend was a lot of fun, I had my first sleepover at my friend Griffin's house, and then Edwin came by to play in the morning. Then in the afternoon I went (duckpin) bowling with Daddy.. and then to another friend's house for dinner, with a lot of new friends.
first snow of this winter! yippee! we had so much fun in the snow.. Daddy posted some old photos back online (after some other photo servers went dot-bomb): London Eye 5th birthday family photos in Winchester, Virginia (1999)
I'm using the computer now, almost as much as Mommy or Daddy (that's why there aren't as many blog entries as before).. I like to play Reader Rabbit 1st Grade or 2nd Grade; I've already finished the Goofy Skate Adventure demo modes; last weekend I went with Mommy and Uncle to Mommy's Cousin's Annmarie's Wedding in Pennsylvania, and today I went with Daddy to Art-o-matic , a local art show put on by artists.. we stayed on the red line to get around the different rooms and saw a lot of things; my favorite was the doggie.. for lunch I had a hot dog with Fritos and green Hawaiian Punch; for dinner I had mac & cheese..
Today was my first day in Kindergarten!
this week was Grif's last day at preschool, he's my friend, and today i will see him at Alex's birthday party.. i'ts going to be so much fun. They are my best friends - I'm happy we got to play together last week for a whole night. in a few weeks i'll be starting Kindergarten! Mommy is very excited about it, and Daddy says that it'll be me starting my school career, that'll last the next 18 years or so. I'm going to a private school called Calvary Lutheran, and Mommy or Daddy will have to drive me there, because it's too far to walk.
just returned from London and Raleigh this past weekend, it was a lot of fun.. Daddy got some pictures uploaded on the web; he just found a photo site [moved] that has good storage and features, so you can see some 200+ of the unsorted pictures from my trip..
This last weekend while Mommy was out of town, and I was hangin' out with Daddy, we went shopping for some stuff, like a window shade for our newly renovated small 1/2 bath, picked up some mini-vials of cologne [Eddie Bauer Adventurer], and a couple of Lego Creator CD games... I love playing them. One of them is ages 6-99, the other is ages 8-99. I can't play the 8-99 one, which is the Alpha Team one, so I am playing the 6-99 one. I can build castles on the computer screen. I like painting the legos different colors. Mommy says it's almost like a cad/cam design system, whatever that is. Tonight we went swimming; usually Thursday nights are our family swimming nights. Before we went, I wore a whole sampler vial cologne by myself. I smelled good. The water was warmer tonight. Afterwards I was a little hungry, and I wanted crispy chicken, but Mommy and Daddy didn't get any. I didn't want leftover fajitas or teriyaki or pad thai. I wanted crispy chicken! *pout* [you ...
(a lot has been happening in my life, but i don't like to blog, even tho' my Daddy likes to.. maybe Daddy will persuade me to make an entry later)
I had a good time in California last weekend, went to a family wedding (Mommy and Daddy's friend), and saw a couple of others about my age, so we ran around the country club and had a lot of fun.. the reception went kinda long, and I was tired, so the nice lady made me a pillow out of the tablecloth and I laid down to nap on 2 chairs.. we went to the beach the day before, but it was windy and cool.. when i would throw a (soft) football to Daddy, it would go the other way! I bumped my head the other day, so there's a bruise (again).. my teacher at preschool says I don't have a lucky head :( Daddy wants me to tell more on my blog here, but I don't want to. On the 29th of April, we went to Legoland, it was my first time, and Daddy's first time too. It was so fun! My favorite was the water gun shooting into the target that made the Lego animal mouth open.
Happy Birthday Jeremiah! Today he turned 5! We went together as a family to Toys 'R Us, and I want to have a game that we can play together as a family. Daddy found a sale for buy-1-get-1-free, so we got Hungry Hungry Hippo and Sorry.. we played the Hippo game several times tonight, and it was so much fun! For my birthday, we had a party at my preschool with my Tiger friends, and on Saturday we had a picnic at my playground (at Lynnbrook Center). After the picnic, I went with Grif to the Mall, and we saw lots of kites at the Smithsonian Kite Festival. You can see the pictures online , and celebrate with me. (there are some pictures from my California trip a month or so ago, when I went with Sean to play putt-putt)
Jeremiah said: I don't want to.. when Daddy asked him to write a journal entry here. Of course a lot of things have happened in the past month, including: trip to California with Mommy, I went to play putt-putt golf, and I got a hole-in-one, and I had a lot of fun there; and bumped my head on the playground, and had to go to the ER at Suburban Hospital to get checked out, and they put on this purple skin glue instead of stitches, and it's going to heal up just in time for this weekend, which is my birthday. I'm going to have a picnic on Saturday in the park to celebrate. It'll be a lot of fun!
Happy Valentine's Day! Yesterday I was a bit louder and unsettled at Pre-school, I don't know why, it's hard to sit still all day. I'm enjoying these days recently, especially getting to see our fireplace get lit for the first time this Winter. I spread out my arms, smile real big, and stand in front of the warm fire. Ahhh.. in a few days, I'll be going to California, to see Gonggy and Poppy, it will be warm there, and I'll be there for 10 days.. I am looking forward to going to the beach, and having a lot of fun. I go swimming every Thursday night with Mommy and Daddy, and 3 weeks ago I started swimming on my back, and I can swim on my tummy too now [editor's note: all with a little help of a bright blue and yellow life vest].. Wheeeeee... today we probably will not go, because Mommy is working late at the flower shop, so all of us can't go together.. I still love to play Monopoly Junior, I try to get a game in once a day with Mommy. Sometimes Daddy ...
